Referrals from Browning Associates will come in two forms. People previously called by us to introduce you and/or people we will reach out to on your behalf by email. We typically provide you with 1-2 referrals at a time.
As of January 2021, our network consists of approximately 30,000 executives. Their resumes have been categorized by industry, geography and compensation in our database. These people do not have open executive positions listed and do not normally know of a job for you. Although most are employed, many are also seeking new employment. We will call and/or email to introduce you to any and every executive we attempt to connect you with. In some instances, we may step up the pace by way of constructing an email and submitting on your behalf. This component of our process does not offer a formal verbal introduction. Instead, we craft a letter and forward it from your custom email set up for the purpose of your outreach. Only those who are interested in connecting will reach back to you. PLEASE SEE BELOW.
Many of the executives in our proprietary database will look forward to connecting with you. They see great value in fortifying their existing networks and are ready, willing and able to speak with you. Nevertheless, some will have little to no idea how to effectively network. Even when we call and make a formal introduction for you, some will remain unclear as to why you’re calling. Some will ask questions about Browning Associates and others will ask what you think of Browning. There are also those who agree to speak with you and do not keep their appointed time. Others will ask for contacts and yet offer nothing in return. Some are rushed; others are preoccupied. THE GOOD NEWS IS WE JUST NEED A FEW GOOD ONES! Meanwhile, you are becoming a master networker and will soon learn to turn lemons into lemonade, people into powerful advocates and conversations into CAREER’S. All of the above is the reality of networking with any body of people you don’t have a history with. This is the reality of meeting people for the first time and of any network outside your own!
